Hemp for Victory

Hemp for Victory is an ironic film made by the US government that promotes the growing of hemp, which is now mainly used as the well-known illegal drug marijuana. This technically-detailed film encourages farmers to grow hemp during the WWII war effort. With the military facing a hemp shortage due to foreign suppliers being controlled or blocked by enemy forces, America needed farmers to step up and start producing a product necessary for the rope, rigging, cloth, and other products that the Army, Army Air Force, and Navy needed for operations.
